Enhanced SwimSafer to improve Singaporeans’ water survival and swimming competency

SwimSafer 2.0, the enhanced programme, will provide participants with a more rigorous water survival and swimming competency programme. The revamped programme comes with a revised syllabus and assessment approach, together with enhanced instructor quality through training and re-certification to provide quality learning for participants. It also incorporates an online quiz on water safety knowledge for participants to consolidate their learning.

In this it is developed into a progressive of six stages course to raise the standard of swimming proficiency in Singapore. Created specially for children below 16 years old. Each stage requires them to learn and to perform survival skill. This program will help evolve your child from a non-swimmer into a better swimmer.


As the student progress and are able to perform certain strokes, they will be sent for a proficiency test. Certificates will be awarded for those who can perform all skills for each stage.

STAGE 6 GOLD - ADVANCE PERSONAL SURVIVAL & SWIMMING SKILL PROFICIENCY

THE PROGRAMME AIMS TO TEACH SWIMMING PROFICIENCY AND WATER SURVIVAL SKILLS TO CHILDREN TO MINIMIZE DROWNING INCIDENCES IN A FUN MANNER. THESE SKILLS ARE NECESSARY IN VIEW THAT MORE THAN 60% OF DROWNING INCIDENCES IN SINGAPORE OCCURRED IN OPEN WATERS, SUCH AS THE SWIM POOLS, SEAS, RIVERS AND RESERVOIRS.
